Hi, I'm Scott. I am a 27 year old full stack javascript developer with 6+ years experience working across a wide variety of projects ranging from clean brochure websites to cutting edge progressive web applications serving thousands of users.
Fresh out of university (BSc (Hons) Web Technologies) I started off my career as a frontend developer at an award winning marketing agency. Here I quickly got to grips with writing semantic, accessible and performant frontend code for large well known brands and organisations.
From here I dived into the ever evolving javascript ecosystem. It was here that I picked up the fundamentals of the MERN stack and gradually developed full stack websites and web applications of increasing complexity.
More recently I have been involved in PWA development - heavily using React hooks, NodeJS, Express and MongoDB (using Typescript). These applications have involved user authentication, file upload handling aswell as subscription, payment and email integrations.
I am currently immediately available for roles remotely and/or across the Central Scotland area.
